Late 19th / Early 20th Century – Hand-Forged Iron & Solid Wood A monumental and visually striking sideboard from Rajasthan, India, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1880–1920). The entire façade is clad in hand-forged iron panels, richly decorated with traditional punched and chiseled motifs. The repetitive geometric detailing and riveted construction are characteristic of fortified haveli doors and storage chests from the region. The layered turquoise and oxidized patina has developed beautifully over time, creating a soft interplay between aged iron and underlying wood. The piece retains its original iron hinges, brackets and handles, all handcrafted. Behind the three doors, the cabinet offers generous interior storage with shelving, making it highly functional despite its monumental presence. The proportions (245 cm wide) give this piece exceptional architectural weight, making it ideal as a statement console, media unit or gallery centerpiece. Age-related wear, oxidation and surface irregularities are consistent with historical use and contribute to its authenticity and character. ⸻ Dimensions 245 x 83 x 46 cm (W x H x D) ⸻ Condition: Good structural condition. Surface wear, patina variation and oxidation consistent with age. Please refer carefully to the photographs as they form part of the description. Delivery & Transport Information Delivery is usually carried out by us personally to ensure careful handling and safe arrival of the furniture. If personal delivery is not possible due to distance, location, size, or weight of the item, the furniture will be professionally packed and shipped via a specialized transport company. Final transport costs may vary depending on destination, accessibility, and specific logistical requirements. Any difference in transport costs will be settled with the buyer prior to shipment. Any additional costs resulting from limited access or special lifting equipment will be charged to the buyer. We strongly recommend inspecting the item upon delivery. Any visible transport damage must be reported immediately at the time of delivery and noted with the carrier. By purchasing, the buyer agrees to the above delivery terms.
