Description A charming Chinese porcelain saucer, likely dating to the late Kangxi period (1662–1722). Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a classical landscape scene featuring two figures: one standing with a walking staff and the other mounted on horseback. The background shows stylized mountain forms, creating a balanced and traditional composition typical of early Qing blue and white porcelain. The reverse is left undecorated but finished with a beautiful Batavia ground (also known as café au lait glaze), a rich brown glaze highly appreciated in export wares of the period. The contrast between the deep cobalt decoration and the warm Batavia reverse adds to the visual appeal.
