Japanese photographer Masahisa Fukase's photo book “Yugi / Homo Ludence”. Masahisa Fukase has continued to look at himself as a “human being” and a “photographer” throughout his life through familiar subjects such as “wife,” “father,” “family,” “cat,” and “raven. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, he began his career in commercial photography, working for Daiichi Advertising and Kawade Shobo before going freelance. He began focusing on himself, his relatives, and his surroundings as if to confirm the meaning of “I” and “taking pictures,” and has since released his representative works, “Yohko,” “Sasuke,” “Ravens,” and “Memories of Father. This book is the 4th issue of the “Image no Gendai Series (10 volumes)” published by Chuo Koron-Sha in his shining 1st photo collection. It consists of six parts: “Slaughter,” a depiction of a slaughterhouse in Shibaura; “Kotobuki,” a portrait of Yoko and his wife; “Geki,” a sexual portrait; “Mei,” a memory of a woman he loved; “Mother,” about Yoko and Yoko's mother; and “Fusaku,” about his family and their chanting and dancing. Lacks vinyl cover and obi.
