Stokk - .925 sølv - Edwardiansk 1907

Exceptional Edwardian gentleman’s walking cane mounted with a sterling silver collar hallmarked for London, 1907. The silver mount bears crisp and clearly legible London assay marks, including the lion passant denoting sterling silver, the leopard’s head for the London Assay Office, and the corresponding date letter for 1907. The silver collar is finely engraved with scrolling foliate decoration, displaying careful hand workmanship typical of high-quality Edwardian silver fittings. The decoration retains good definition, with natural wear and patina consistent with age, adding to the authenticity and character of the piece. The cane features a ring-turned hardwood shaft, expertly worked to create a continuous textured pattern along its full length. This decorative turning not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides a pleasant tactile grip. The wood shows a rich, warm tone with attractive natural grain and surface polish developed through use over time. The crook handle is elegantly proportioned and comfortable in hand. The cane retains its original ferrule, showing appropriate wear from use and confirming the originality of the piece. A refined and fully authenticated Edwardian walking cane, precisely dated to 1907, combining decorative silverwork with a well-crafted hardwood shaft. Very good antique condition, consistent with age. The sterling silver collar shows light surface wear, minor scratches and natural patina. The hardwood shaft is straight, solid and structurally sound, with surface wear consistent with long-term use. The original ferrule remains intact and functional.
