Kyo-Yaki (Kyoto Ware) - Tefat - Keramikk

This is an authentic Japanese Matcha bowl (Chawan) crafted in the traditional Kyoyaki (Kyoto Ware) style. It is a Hira-chawan (flat tea bowl), specifically designed as a "Summer Style" utensil. In the Japanese tea ceremony, the wide and shallow shape is intentionally used during the hot summer months to allow the tea to cool more quickly, providing a refreshing experience for the guests. The bowl features the prestigious "Unkaku" (Cloud and Crane) motif, a design historically revered in the world of tea. The deep black glaze is contrasted with dynamic white slip-work, creating a bold, modern look while maintaining traditional elegance. The rim is beautifully undulating, reminiscent of a mountain range (a style known as Gogaku), which adds a sense of openness and "cool breeze" to the tea setting. The original box includes a management label from "Kyo-Yama" (京・山), a professional tea utensil merchant in Kyoto. [Dimensions] Height: 8.0 cm Diameter: 11.7 cm Foot Diameter (Kodai): 6.3 cm Weight: 330 g [Condition] Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Includes original paper box (Tomobako) and decorative wrapping paper. Shipping & Environment Eco-Friendly Packaging: In our commitment to environmental sustainability, we use recycled and repurposed packaging materials (such as boxes and cushioning) whenever possible. Rest assured, your item will be packed with the utmost care to ensure its safe arrival while minimizing our ecological footprint.
