Stol - Tre - To eikekrakker - stoler
Old wooden folk art stools are typical objects of Hungarian folk culture and peasant lifestyle from the 1930s. These pieces are called walking stools or milking stools (in German Melkschemel) in ethnographic literature. They were primarily used for work around the house, such as milking, crushing or for sitting at lower tables. Drilled, spread legs, backless seating, without nails. The legs are positioned at an angle for better stability. They are made of hardwood (such as oak) or softwood, attached with carpentry and tenoning. The ends of the legs (tenons) are clearly visible on the seating surface, which were often fixed with wedges for durability. Rustic, naturally worn surface (patina), which preserves the traces of decades of use. A nice piece, I recommend it!Old hand made
