The BIRD 20 chandelier consists of twenty steel, geometric lamps covered in natural rust. This luminous installation, with its spatial composition, dynamics of lampshades, and unusual color palette, brings a sculptural character to interiors. The rusty BIRD 20 chandelier is an example of unconventional, Polish design. Modern form intertwines here with the coziness of light, which reflects off the rust, giving a warm, pleasant color. The lamp’s color is a conscious decision of the designers. The steel covered with rust is one of the favorite materials used by Gie El designers. We obtain it in cooperation with nature. The BIRD 20 chandelier is entirely manufactured in Poland. Each individual lamp is laser-cut from a metal sheet, undergoes machine bending, and is then exposed to atmospheric conditions. After a certain time, when corrosion occurs, the lamps are protected with a matte coating, preventing them from getting dirty or crumbling. Then the chandelier is manually completed with electrical equipment and packed in an eco-friendly manner. The chandelier was designed with modern and spacious interiors in mind. Combining the dynamic, rusty composition of BIRD 20 with materials such as concrete, raw stone, natural wood, or glass will give the space a unique character.
