The bowl presents a graceful, slightly asymmetrical silhouette with a gently rounded body and a modest, unassuming foot ring (kōdai) characteristic of Hagi ware. The exterior surface is covered in a soft milky-white glaze with a fine overall kairagi (crazing) pattern — the delicate network of hairline cracks across the glaze that is a hallmark of authentic Hagi ware and intensifies in beauty with use over time, a phenomenon known as "Hagi no Nana-bake" (the seven transformations of Hagi).
