Muse er et engelsk rocksband fra Teignmouth, Devon, dannet i 1994. Bandet består av Matt Bellamy (hovedvokal, gitar, keyboard), Chris Wolstenholme (bassgitar, backing-vokal) og Dominic Howard (trommer, perkusjon).

Muse ga ut debutalbumet Showbiz i 1999, som viste Bellamys falsett og en melankolsk alternativ-rock-stil. Deres andre album, Origin of Symmetry (2001), innlemmet bredere instrumentering og romantiske klassiske påvirkninger og ga dem et rykte for energiske live-forestillinger. Absolution (2003) så en ytterligere klassisk påvirkning, med strykere på spor som "Butterflies and Hurricanes", og var det første av syv påfølgende UK-nummer-ett-album.

Black Holes and Revelations (2006) innlemmet elektroniske og pop-elementer, vist i singler som "Supermassive Black Hole", og ga Muse bredere internasjonal suksess. The Resistance (2009) og The 2nd Law (2012) utforsket temaer om regjeringsundertrykking og sivilt oppbud og befestet Muse som en av verdens store stadionartister. Toppet USAs Billboard 200, deres sjuende album, Drones (2015), var et konseptalbum om dronekrigføring og vendte tilbake til en hardere rock-lyd. Deres åttende album, Simulation Theory (2018), hadde tydelig fokus på synthesizere og var påvirket av science fiction og simuleringsteorien. Deres niende album, Will of the People (2022), som kombinerte mange sjangre og temaer fra deres tidligere album, ble utgitt i august 2022.

Muse har vunnet mange priser, inkludert to Grammy Awards, to Brit Awards, fem MTV Europe Music Awards og åtte NME Awards. I 2012 mottok de Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement fra British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. Per oktober 2022 hadde de solgt mer enn 30 millioner album verden over.

XX Anniversary edition with remastered audio, unreleased live versions, demos and photos as well as a new, in depth interview with the band where they discuss the ups and downs of the recording process as well as the social environment they found themselves in which influenced the albums themes. In addition, there is an interview and Q&A with the album’s producer Rich Costey.

The deluxe box set is housed in a silver foiled slipcase and includes a 40 page casebound book with debossed cover detailing. The remastered Absolution album is on one CD and two 12” silver vinyl. The bonus audio is featured on a second CD and a third clear 12” vinyl.
