Beskrivelse fra selgeren
Berlin: Verlag von Bruno Cassirer, 1907. [4], 319, [1] pages. 20.5cm x 14cm. Softcover in the publisher’s printed wrappers with an illustration printed on the front cover. First edition of “Geschwister Tanner” (The Tanners), a thinly veiled autobiographical novel that follows the wanderings of Simon Tanner, a young man who drifts through a series of menial jobs and relationships in early 20th-century Switzerland and Germany. The cover illustration was done by Robert Walser’s brother Karl Walser.
Rubbing, spotting, wear, and some damage to the wrappers. The front cover is fully loose, and the spine is creased, fraying, and partly loose (see photos for all damages). The binding is quite soft, and up until page 16 the pages are fully loose. Very little browning and spotting throughout. The text is clear. Overall, a copy in fair condition.
