LM Ericsson – Antique Wall Telephone – Sweden – early 20th century
Original wall-mounted telephone manufactured by LM Ericsson, Stockholm, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1920).
This is a classic manual magneto telephone featuring a hand-crank generator and twin metal bells. The construction is typical for Scandinavian telecommunications equipment of the period.
The casing is made of metal with a black lacquered finish, combined with nickel-plated elements. The handset is complete and in very good condition, with original ebonite mouthpiece and wooden handle.
The internal mechanism is largely preserved, including the induction coil marked:
“Telefon – Serie Parallell – Örebro”.
Condition:
– overall very good external condition with normal signs of age
– handset complete and undamaged
– original bells intact
– internal ebonite plate is damaged (broken), visible inside the unit
– wiring partially preserved but not tested
– sold as a decorative and collectible item, not for functional use
