An impossibly rare, original and the unworn short-sleeved 1962 Carpano jersey. It was made in Milan by Sergal and features the 1961 UCI World Team Championship winner's patch. It's 42cm armpit to armpit, features the rider number 3 on the collar and, aside from one tiny, barely perceptible mark to the right of the "C" (see photo), is in perfect, as new condition. Between 1956 and 1964 Carpano won the Giro, the Tour, and just about everything else that mattered in cycling. The jersey, chosen by team manager Vincenzo Giacotto, is essentially that worn by his beloved Juventus. This is NOT a replica. It's a beautiful piece of memorabilia from the prototype Italo-Belge team, a genuine icon of the sport.
