Michael Jackson (1958–2009) was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer widely regarded as the "King of Pop." Beginning his career as a child with the Jackson 5 on Motown Records, he became one of the most influential entertainers in history. His sixth solo studio album, Thriller (1982), produced in collaboration with Quincy Jones, became the best-selling album of all time with estimated sales exceeding 70 million copies worldwide.
