Plain air watercolor painting of Hydra island streets at the afternoon. Hydra is a loved place artists around the world have loved, lived and created. This watercolor was made this summer, during a visit for a group exhibition in which I participated. Andromachi Giannopoulou was born in Australia and grew up in Athens, Greece. She studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts and continued her postgraduate studies in Art and Design at Chelsea College of Arts in London with a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and Biennales in Greece and abroad, and has been awarded the Education Leaders Award for excellence in the field. Currently, she lives and works in Athens, where she also teaches art. ​
