Using the reverse-carving technique (intaglio), a highly detailed three-dimensional rose flower has been artfully carved into the back of the amber, visible beautifully through the polished front. The outer silver frame features an elaborate, symmetrical openwork geometric and floral motif, flanked by two highly detailed dimensional flowers at the top and bottom.
