Japan - Autografert avskjedflag. - Flagg

An extremely rare autographed farewell flag. The owner is Tatsuro Nakajima. Signed by Nobusuke Kishi and Shozo Uchida! Nobusuke Kishi: A Brief Introduction Nobusuke Kishi was a highly controversial figure in postwar Japanese politics, serving as Prime Minister of Japan. He was both a "godfather" who laid the foundation for Japan's postwar conservative political landscape and the maternal grandfather of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. "The Demon of Manchuria" and War Criminal Suspects: During World War II, he orchestrated the economic plunder of Manchukuo in Northeast China, later serving as Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Tojo Hideki cabinet. After Japan's surrender, he was arrested as a Class A war criminal suspect, but was released by the United States due to the outbreak of the Cold War and was not prosecuted. Return to Politics and the Birth of the Liberal Democratic Party: After his return to politics, he vigorously promoted the merger of conservative forces, establishing the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which remains in power in Japan to this day. Security Treaty Storm and Resignation: After becoming Prime Minister in 1957, he forcibly revised the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty, triggering the largest mass protest movement in postwar Japan (the "Security Treaty Struggle"). Although the treaty was ultimately passed, he was forced to resign due to the immense public resentment it provoked. In short: Critics see him as a wartime ally who escaped punishment; supporters see him as a key figure in establishing the Japan-U.S. alliance and laying the foundation for Japan's postwar prosperity. His advocacy for revising the pacifist constitution and strengthening national defense continues to profoundly influence Japan to this day. Shozo Uchida: President of Tokyo Imperial University, a fanatical supporter of war. Based on the terms of office indicated when the two political figures signed this departure flag, the signing date should be 1943. This item is made of silk, is in perfect condition, and is over 80 years old. It is extremely rare to find one with the signatures of two political figures! It is definitely worth collecting 岸信介 國務大臣 内田祥三 東京帝國大學縂長
