Built in Japan and positioned as an upper-midrange enthusiast deck, the GX-65 MkII combines precision tape handling, excellent recording capability, and the durability of Akai’s renowned Super GX glass & crystal ferrite heads. It was built around 1991 as the successor to the GX-65, with production typically cited in the 1990–1993 period
