ABOUT THIS UNIT: The Soundimension is the big brother of the Fender Soundette — Arbiter's upmarket, luxury version featuring additional repeat heads, stereo I/O, and superior build quality. It works on the same principle as the legendary Binson Echorec, using a proprietary oxide-coated spinning magnetic disc rather than tape, producing the dark, warm, self-oscillating echo character that defined the dub and reggae sound. Sir Coxsone Dodd of Studio One used one so heavily that his studio band literally named themselves "Sound Dimension" after the unit.
