Beskrivelse fra selgeren
OLYMPUS PEN EED, testet og fungerer.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Olympus PEN-EED, released in 1967, is a half-frame 35mm camera producing two 18x24mm images per standard frame. It carries the fastest fixed lens ever fitted to a PEN, a 32mm f/1.7 F.Zuiko, paired with a CdS-metered automatic exposure system offering programmed auto or aperture-priority operation. It combined the automation of the PEN EE series with the bright, fast optics previously reserved for the manual PEN D line, and added a self-timer. Because of its fast f/1.7 lens, the EED is generally more sought-after among collectors than the slower f/2.8 and f/3.5 PEN EE models.
Important — please read carefully:
The meter reads bright, so automatic exposures run generous in strong light. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, distinct signs of use or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Light scuffs and marks from normal use; a tidy example. Please check the photos.
Optical Condition
Finder: Cleaned internally — clear
Lens / Sensor: Cleaned internally — clear.
Functional
The camera operates properly — shutter, film transport and the automatic exposure system all work.
The CdS meter responds but reads bright against our reference: about +1.6 EV at EV12 and +2.7 EV at EV15.
The viewfinder and lens have been cleaned internally and the light seals replaced.
This is the half-frame PEN-EED with the fast 32mm f/1.7 F.Zuiko — the fastest lens ever fitted to a PEN.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.6 OVER / EV15: 2.7 OVER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
- Lens cleaned internally
Known Issues
1. The meter reads bright — about +1.6 EV at EV12 and +2.7 EV at EV15 — so automatic exposures run generous, particularly in strong light. Negative film absorbs much of this, but slide film users should compensate.
2. Cosmetic marks from normal use (see photos).
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
Important Notes for Used Items
As this is a used item, subtle imperfections may exist that are not individually described.
