Kirsty Wain (XX) - Ancient Chestnut, Galicia

Artist: Kirsty Wain Title: Ancient Chestnut, Galicia Year: 2026 Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 70 x 90 cm Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front ("Wain 26") Condition: Excellent, directly from the artist’s studio This original oil painting by Kirsty Wain captures an ancient, gnarled chestnut tree in the lush countryside of Galicia, Spain. Executed in a dynamic Neo-Impressionistic style, the work features expressive, gestural brushwork that brings movement, texture, and light to the scene. The organic shapes of the ancient trunk create a bold focal point, celebrating the timeless natural heritage of Northern Spain. Border: Includes an additional 5 cm unpainted canvas border around all sides (total canvas size approx. 80 x 100 cm) to allow for easy stretching on a wooden stretcher frame or framing. Signature: Hand-signed and dated by the artist in the bottom right front. Condition: Excellent / New direct from the artist’s studio. Note: Any images showing the artwork framed are mock-ups for illustrative purposes; the painting is sold unframed. Packaging & Shipping Condition: Sold unstretched and unframed to ensure maximum protection during transit. A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by Kirsty Wain will be included. Shipped with tracked and signed service. Frame not included About the Artist Kirsty Wain is a British painter currently living and working in Spain. Deeply connected to the Mediterranean landscape, her work offers an expressive, emotive interpretation of the surrounding environment. Drawing strong inspiration from Post-Impressionism and the bold colour theory of Fauvism, Wain uses vibrant hues, textured application, and fluid line work to capture the intrinsic energy, spirit, and light of a location. Her paintings, frequently focused on ancient olive groves, hillside pines, and sweeping terrains—seek to translate fleeting personal moments and deep emotional ties to place directly onto the canvas. Wain’s distinct visual language continues to gain international visibility, and her paintings are held in private collections around the world. ´ I love colour. I love nature. I love art.
