Three generations of the Jaguar E-type (Jaguar XK-E) were built between 1961 and 1974. The E-type meant a revolution in the design, performance and handling of sports cars. The Jaguar E-type holds first place on the list of best sports cars of the 1960s. The series 1 has a 3.8L 6-in-line engine that came from the XK150S. All E-types had independent suspension and reinforced disc brakes on all four wheels, two unusual features for that time. The 3.8L versions had bucket seats with leather upholstery and a centrally placed aluminium instrument panel. The first models were easy to recognize by their 'Flat Floor'. These first E-types are very rarely offered for sale. This Jaguar is in very neat and original condition (the interior, engine and transmission are all original). The vehicle starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears, idles nicely at 900 rpm and brakes properly.
