Charles Schneider & André Neut - French pendant light - Lysekrone - aux Libellules - nikkel bronse, Glass

Charles Schneider & André Neut A beautiful French 1930 art deco pendant chandelier in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a nice bowl in molded-pressed glass by Charles Schneider. This sought after model, marked 'France 1044', is referred to as "aux libellules" (the dragonflies) in the old 1930 catalogs. Bowl #1044 is an unsigned model. The also existing dragonfly slip shades as well as the small side-shades (tulipes) do have a Schneider signature though. These pendants were made by André Neut. The Paris France based company of Labbé & Neut was specialized in making bronze art deco lighting fixtures during the interbellum. André Neut often used Schneider shades for his lamps. Some models are known with a A.Neut signatures. Those are shades specially made for Neut by Charles Schneider. The bowl has a diameter of 35 cm. Executed in thick quality glass the shade has a beautiful pattern both with the light switched on and off. A high-quality authentic art deco pendant light. Note the finely detailed bronze canopy matching the design of the bowl. The chandelier has a height of 47 cm. It is in excellent condition. I have replated and patinated the mounting. It is rewired with a E27 socket so you can use our modern electrical bulbs. For European countries a good quality LED bulb will be added. On catawiki my listings have low reserve prices. I offer no aftersales when the reserve is not met. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting for over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the fragile items well protected and fully insured. Having custom made wiring I can accept no returns. No shipping to the USA.
