Kanshitsu involves repeatedly applying layers of lacquer over the wooden base, creating a robust and highly durable surface. The pieces feature a distinctive pattern reminiscent of Tsugaru lacquer, although the surface itself does not share Tsugaru’s typical texture. The suzuribako, traditionally used to hold calligraphy tools such as inkstone, brushes, and inksticks, includes a half tray and a flat half board. The document box features an upper tray insert for organised storage. Both pieces are housed in a custom wooden storage box. The set shows minor blemishes consistent with age, and there is also a small crack in one area, but it remains in good overall condition. The wooden box has some spotting. Please refer to the photos for a detailed condition. Dimensions: approx. H 5.7-10.3 cm W 24-35 cm D 19.8-25.9 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
