Each jar bears a traditional label — Pommade de Garou, Emplâtre de Ciguë, Pommade au Musc, and Opium — with gilded details and colourful motifs showing exotic palm trees and landscapes. The three large jars are signed HCX under the base, and the smaller Opium jar is signed M.A. These are artisan-made pieces, heavy faience, typical of French or Italian workshops from the 1950s–1970s, in the style of Nevers or Deruta.
