Ake Wickstrom, 1927–2019 Swedish painter. He is the son of the decorative painter Oskar Wickström and Marie Grote, and the brother of Oskar Wickström. He worked as a construction worker until 1963 and took up painting in his spare time, but was a full-time artist at the time. He studied art with Helge Nielsen, Arwid Karlsson and Eskil Skans at Skånska målarskolan in Malmö in 1952 and through self-study while traveling, among others to Italy, Denmark, Africa and Paris. He exhibited separately in Alvesta, Åseda, Ronneby, Karlshamn and Olofström and participated in several group exhibitions of provincial art. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
