Yulia Lavrova - Hope

Yulia Lavrova has been named "One of the 100 Best Emerging Female Artists in the World" in 2024 and "One of the 100 Contemporary Artists of Our Time" in 2025. The sculpture Hope was shown in Berlin, Germany: - 48 Hours Neukölln, Art Festival (June 2025). - New & Abstract, Group Show #9 – Contemporary Positions in Dialogue (April–May 2025). And featured in Reverie, a Literary & Visual Arts Magazine. Issue 4. Hong Kong, China (Spring 2025). About the artwork This sculpture evokes the importance of holding onto hope even in difficult times. There is always space for Hope. After a dark moment, there is a new beginning, like after winter is always spring, or after the night, there is a sunrise. The same goes for our lives, after challenges or hard times, there’ll be a bright tomorrow. And Hope is always with us. Bring depth to your space with the soft patterns, shifting light, and a blend of glazed and raw textures. About the artist Yulia Lavrova is a Berlin-based contemporary abstract ceramic artist. She holds an MFA in Graphic Design (2020). After years of working as a designer and art director, Lavrova rediscovered her passion – visual art. Lavrova's prior work in design informed her artistic practice, in which she emphasizes structure, composition, and visual clarity. Her work has been selected for juried exhibitions in Japan, Portugal, the UK, the USA, and Germany, including the New & Abstract Group Show and 48 Hours Neukölln, Berlin's annual art festival, and featured in international publications such as Culture Kaleidoscope Vol. 1 – 100 Artists of Our Time (Prazzle), New Visionary Magazine (New Visionary Collective), and 100 Emerging Artists 2024, Women's Edition (Arts to Hearts Project). “In my work, I follow intuition and explore traditionally feminine intangible qualities and hidden layers of our emotions by creating free-flowing, low-relief ceramic wall sculptures. They are an ode to my matriarchal lineage. My grandmother worked as a painter in a ceramic factory during the Soviet Union. I remember seeing these art pieces as a kid in my grandparents' house, where I spent my childhood summers. In a way, I'm intuitively continuing this tradition with my own sculptural practice. Creative expression becomes a bridge between those memories, that sense of freedom and unconditional love, and my present dreams.” Learn more: yulialavrova.com Technical Data: Edition: Unique, original Technique: Wall contemporary abstract ceramic sculpture.
