Jaeger-LeCoultre - Ingen reservasjonspris - 420583 - Herre - 1900-1949

LeCoultre Dress Watch ca. 1930 with Small Seconds About LeCoultre Before the brand became known as Jaeger-LeCoultre, watches produced for certain markets, especially the United States, were simply signed LeCoultre. The company’s origins go back to 1833, when Antoine LeCoultre founded his workshop in Le Sentier, Switzerland. In the early 20th century, LeCoultre supplied movements to various prestigious brands and produced watches under its own name. In 1937, the firm merged with Edmond Jaeger, the French watchmaker who specialized in ultra-thin movements, and the combined brand Jaeger-LeCoultre was officially established. This piece, presumably from around 1931, represents that elegant pre-merger period, a time when LeCoultre design combined Swiss precision with understated Art Deco style. This men’s watch embodies that pure Art Deco elegance. It features a warm original dial with fine railroad minute track, Arabic numerals at 12–3–6–9, and a subtle small-seconds subdial at six o’clock. The stainless steel case measures 32 mm, the perfect refined size for formal occasions. Serial number 420583. Hand-wound movement, runs smoothly and keeps good time. Inside the case back of the watch, it says “LeCoultre Swiss Stainless Steel.” Highlights • Authentic LeCoultre signature on the dial and inside the case • Small-seconds subdial for that classic look • Honest vintage patina, not an over-polished museum piece • Comfortable dark-brown leather strap Specifications • Case diameter: 32 mm • Case thickness: approx. 10 mm • Mechanical hand-wound movement • Plexiglass crystal • Serial number 420583 • Strap non-original Condition Wearable vintage condition with attractive patina and age-appropriate signs of use. Movement functions well. A preventive service is recommended for long-term reliability. Collection in Haarlem or insured shipping within the EU. Questions or need extra photos? Feel free to get in touch.
