What makes it special is that the entire AF motor is built into the lens itself — featuring a side housing with an “AUTO FOCUS ON/OFF” switch and activation buttons. Please note that the autofocus function works only with the Pentax ME-F camera body. When mounted on other K-mount cameras, the lens can still be used in manual focus mode.
