Regency style folding exercise table from the 19th century. Features Type: Exercise table (also known as a campaign table or travelling table). Material: Walnut. Age: 19th century, typically from the Regency or early Victorian period. Design: Has a folding top and an X-shaped (scissor) leg structure, allowing for easy transport and storage. The X-legs are connected by turned crossbars (bracelets). Purpose: Originally designed to be stored in carriages or during travel and erected when needed for tea or meals. The table is in good condition, usable, can be folded and opened easily. There are signs of use, it is a large, approximately 100-year-old, Victorian piece.
