The instrument is in good condition with some small old repaired cracks. The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of interesting flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 586 mm and the back 356 mm.
