This is a vintage soft vinyl Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atomu) piggy bank produced as a promotional novelty item for Shimizu Bank (Shimizu Bank) during the Showa era. The piece is approximately 10 cm tall and made of classic Japanese sofubi material. The iconic design features Astro Boy in his recognizable black hair, green belt, black shorts, and red boots. The piggy bank slot is located at the back of the head, and the underside is stamped with NTV / Tezuka Productions. The lot includes the original instruction leaflet, which is rarely preserved. Despite age, the bank remains in very good vintage condition with only minor wear consistent with long-term storage. A charming collectible for fans of Osamu Tezuka and Showa-era Japanese character goods.
