THE STORY BEHIND The painting Rostro nº6 offers a unique and personalised interpretation of the Greek hero Achilles, known for his prominent role in the Trojan War and his portrayal in Homer's Iliad. The work features a Greek bust, which the artist has transformed using digital techniques. The painter explored various possibilities for modifying the colour and textures of the original sculpture, seeking to bring it into a more personal realm. Colour plays a fundamental role in the work. The sculpture's new personality retains its essence, allowing the viewer to recognise the portrait of the Greek hero from which it originates. The painter has divided the space on the canvas into three vertical strips, with the central one being the most important, where Achilles' head is located.
