Please check the image. The inside of the drawer is covered with a velvet-like red fabric. ■Period: Meiji, Taisho, Showa era. ■Materials: Wood, iron hardware This is a traditional Japanese Kusuri-dansu (medicine chest). With its numerous small drawers, it is a piece of vintage furniture based on the design actually used by herbalists and physicians from the Edo through the Meiji and Taishō eras. Crafted in wood with iron fittings, it combines both functionality and decorative charm.
