The ‘Emerald’ Line, 1971 This line was inspired by the exclusive designs created for OMEGA by ANDREW GRIMA, jeweller to Queen Elisabeth. GRIMA is considered one of the foremost jewellers of his generation. The Emerald line is characterised by the generous height of its Emerald watch cut crystals, which were either precious or semi-precious stones (sapphire, amethyst, or citrine) or quartz or mineral glass. G The pieces were first reserved for the high-end ‘Constellation’ models, but as the line was progressively extended, ANDREW GRIMA's creations were later mostly seen in the De Ville range, and also, but to a much lesser extent, in the Geneve collection. The line was manufactured until 1973.
