The damage must be reported to your local post office within 7 days of delivery, and promptly to us and Catawiki support. 【Product details】 This is a hand-carved wooden Noh mask depicting Ko-Omote, used in Noh theatre to portray a young maiden aged 16 to 17 years. The surface is finished with gofun, a traditional white pigment made from finely ground oyster shells, imparting a smooth, pale finish typical of this mask type. The ohaguro (blackened teeth) symbolise adulthood. The expression is deliberately ambiguous — appearing serene or melancholic depending on viewing angle — allowing for subtle shifts in mood as the performer moves, giving this mask its unique emotional depth. The reverse bears the inscription: “小面 大和作 清風 平成19年10月” (Ko-Omote, made by Yamato, Seifu, October 2007).
