Bronse - Hidenori Kontani 紺谷英儀 - Veldig fin Matsukaze 松風 noh danser okimono. - Shōwa-periode (1926 – 1989)

This is a bronze Noh doll made by Hidenori Kontani 紺谷英儀. Sensitively sculpted okimono of spirit dancer Matsukaze from noh play "Matsukaze", depicted performing her dance. Matsukaze (Breeze through the Pines) is a play of the third category, the woman's mode, by Kan'ami, revised by Zeami Motokiyo. It is one of the most highly regarded of Noh plays, depicted numerous times in the visual arts. The two main characters are the lingering spirits of the sisters Matsukaze (Wind in the Pines) and Murasame (Autumn Rain), who in the 9th century lived on the Bay of Suma in Settsu Province, where they ladled brine in order to make salt. Made of cast bronze, the Noh performer figurine is incredibly realistic, faithfully reproducing every detail of the Noh mask, kimono, bag, and fan. With a weight exceeding 3kg, it exudes luxury and embodies the essence of Japanese craftsmanship. Eigi Kontani 紺谷英儀 is a sculptor from Takaoka City. Takaoka City is famous for Takaoka copperware, and has produced many talented swordsmiths. Kontani Hidenori also has many famous works. Although some parts of this work have been lost, I think you will feel that it is of a high level of perfection. The details, such as the hair and kimono, have been faithfully reproduced, making it extremely realistic. It weighs approximately 5.3 kg and has a luxurious feel, embodying the essence of Japanese craftsmanship. Hight: 30.6 cm Width: 14.6 cm Depth: 10.0 cm Weight: 3200 g Condition: The condition is generally good. There may be dirt, scratches, dullness, rubbing, and other deterioration due to age. It was stored at home. There are many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the package will be shipped with a tracking number.
