Stokk - .925 sølv, Coromandel - Birmingham 1919
A distinguished early-20th-century gentleman’s walking cane, mounted with English sterling silver and hallmarked in Birmingham 1919. The crook handle retains its graceful, traditional form, finished with a rounded sterling silver tip that has developed the soft, appealing wear seen on well-loved antique canes.
The shaft is an attractive hardwood with a rich, warm tone and smooth patina, showing its age beautifully. The sterling silver collar is engraved with an ornate monogram and carries clear Birmingham hallmarks alongside the maker’s mark. The handle tip also bears matching hallmarks, confirming its originality. The cane is completed with a brass ferrule.
Elegant, authentic and full of period charm — a fine example of British craftsmanship from the post-Edwardian era.
Good antique condition with expected age-related wear. Light dents and polishing marks to the silver mounts; small surface marks to the wood. Structurally stable.
