This is a rare double-sided Yugoslav cinema poster featuring two legendary American animated classics: Pink Panther – “Festival humora” on one side and Popeye – “Podvizi slavnog mornara Popaja” on the other. These posters were produced for children’s matinee screenings in Yugoslavia during the 1970s, and examples in such well-preserved condition are increasingly hard to find. Design & Artwork The Pink Panther side displays a striking blue background with a clean, stylistic rendering of the iconic character, credited to the animation team of DePatie–Freleng (David DePatie, Friz Freleng, Hawley Pratt, Gerry Chiniquy). The Popeye side presents a dynamic comic-style illustration of Popeye and Olive Oyl on a treasure-filled boat, typical of the Zagreb cinema poster aesthetic of the era. Both sides were issued by Kinematografi Zagreb, the state distribution network, confirming its authenticity as an original Yugoslav release. Dating Although foreign poster databases sometimes mistakenly list this title as 1960s, the artwork, printing method, typography, and distribution marks clearly place this edition in the mid–1970s.
