Schatz - Værstasjon (2) - Skipets klokke og barometer, messing og glass, nesten som ny tilstand. - vintage; fullt funksjonell
Founded in the 1850s, Schatz was the leading manufacturer of classic ship’s instruments, making fine mechanical chiming movements, before closing in 1985.
This set comprises fine examples of a Schatz mechanical clock and matching Schatz barometer, both fully functional and showing fine workmanship. The clock has two eight-day mechanical movements for clock and chimes. The clock strikes the ship's bell 4-hour-watch-sequence marked by progressive cycles up to eight-bells, struck at 30-minute intervals. The clock-hammer will be stabilized for transport (see photos #44-46; turn screw on back).
The white faces are in good condition; the clock face shows light marking around the winding holes. The clock and barometer have lacquered brass-housings, that are in fine condition with only minimal patina (see photos). There are no cracks, dents or major blemishes. The doors are secured by brass scuttle clamps. The facet-cut glass ports are clean and intact. Regulate time on the clock using lever at XII. A winding key s included.
The barometer is calibrated in millibars and inches (mercury units), adjustment (e.g. after transport) from rear. There is a fine capillary thermometer (Celsius/Fahrenheit).
A great opportunity to own a set of these superb instruments in excellent condition - use at home, in the office or on-board ship.
I always pack with great care (see reviews) and send securely with insurance.
