The Marantz SD8020 is a rare and highly desirable vintage stereo cassette deck from the early 1980s, designed for enthusiasts who appreciate classic Marantz engineering and true analog performance. Built in Japan and known as a two-speed “Compudeck”, the SD8020 stands out from conventional cassette decks thanks to its ability to operate at both standard and double cassette speed, offering enhanced recording quality, wider frequency response, and improved signal-to-noise performance when used at high speed. The model is documented by Marantz reference sources and vintage audio archives as an early-1980s deck (1981–82, with some sources listing production into 1984)

To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding.
