First, limited, and signed edition of Walter Hasenclever’s "Die Pest. Ein Film." (The Plague: A Film), a landmark work in literary history. It is widely considered the first film script to be published and marketed as an independent piece of literature rather than just a production document. This is No.125 of 250 copies intended for retail (260 copies in total), printed on handmade paper and signed by the author on the colophon page.

Some cockling, tanning, water staining, and damage to the brown dust jacket. Many pieces of it are chipped off at the margins and the spine, and the front flap is fully detached. Some creasing and bumping to the cardboard covers. Pencil markings and Ex Libris stamp on the half title. Pencil markings on the verso of the back free endpaper. Only little browning and spotting throughout (mostly on the endpapers). The text is clear and the binding is solid. Overall, a copy in good condition.
