Malgorzata Krakowiak dorastała między sztalugami i krosnami rodziców, artystów malarzy, gdzie unoszący się zapach wełny owczej mieszał się z farbami i terpentyną.
W czasie studiów wybrała także opcję malarstwa i tkaniny artystycznej, którą z pasją kontynuuje do dziś. Z biegiem lat zawodowo rozwijała głównie karierę artystki sztuki tkaninowej, prezentując obiekty dwuwymiarowe i trójwymiarowe, biorąc udział w wystawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych w renomowanych muzeach i galeriach w Polsce, rodzinnym kraju artystki. Od 2018 roku mieszka i pracuje na Majorce, gdzie niezwykła przyroda wyspy jest jej źródłem inspiracji.
Do swoich prac wpisuje radość z obfitości tkanki materii, światła i koloru w obecnych cyklach FISH i SUBLIMAT, gdzie stosuje nowatorskie techniki łączenia światów malarstwa i tkaniny.
Od kilku lat regularnie uczestniczy w targach sztuki i z powodzeniem rozwija współpracę z projektantami. Dzieła artystki znajdują się w prywatnych kolekcjach i instytucjach publicznych na całym świecie.
