“Unknowmen”

This work was born from the idea that a person is not composed of a single identity, but rather a combination of experiences, brokenness, suppressed emotions, and unseen fragments. Each color represents a different mood, each sharp transition a different conflict. Vibrant tones depict the face a person shows to the outside world, while dark and deep layers whisper the silent aspects hidden within.

“Unknowmen” is not a completed portrait of a person; it is a fragmented map of a being striving to form itself. The abstract deformations on the face illustrate that identity is never fully clear; that a person reconstructs themselves throughout life. It invites the viewer not only to look, but also to understand and confront the unknown within themselves.

The powerful physical sensation of the relief textures combined with the dense layers of oil paint gives the work not only a visual but also an almost tactile memory. The surface movements that change according to the light allow the portrait to transform into a different character from every angle.

This work; "Unknowmen" is a unique work that interprets the fragmented mind of modern man, his search for identity, and his unseen inner voices in an abstract language. It is a portrait that raises more questions than it answers, because sometimes a person is most estranged from themselves.
