The period of transition between the Ming and the Qing dynasties is in many ways one of the most interesting in the history of Chinese ceramics. Kraak wares were development in large quantities to Europe and exerted a great influence on the development of European ceramics, being extensively copied at Delft and other potteries. In this exhibition we trace their origins to the mid 16th century.
