In 2019, Japanese contemporary artist Mr. and Pharrell Williams collaborated on A Call to Action, a unique exhibition presented at the Musée Guimet in Paris. Given complete creative freedom through a "carte blanche," the duo transformed the museum's rotunda into an immersive environment filled with paintings, sculptures, videos, and large-scale installations. The project explored themes such as environmental responsibility, social inequality, violence, and the future of younger generations, while maintaining the colorful and optimistic visual language for which Mr. is known. The exhibition conveyed a powerful message: despite the challenges facing the world, hope lies in the creativity, imagination, and determination of children.

A notable work connected to this project is "Ren" (2019), a limited-edition print by Mr. created during the same period. The print features the artist's signature anime-inspired aesthetic and reflects many of the themes present in A Call to Action: innocence, resilience, and the idea that future generations possess the power to create positive change. As with much of Mr.'s work, Ren combines playful imagery with deeper social commentary, making it an important example of the artist's exploration of contemporary culture and youth. The print is especially sought after by collectors because it belongs to a significant moment in Mr.'s collaboration with Pharrell Williams and the broader narrative of the 2019 exhibition
