Each fish is individually handmade using the fusing technique by Polish artist Maciej Habrat (20+ years of experience). Layers of clear and colored glass are fused in a kiln, with tiny air bubbles suspended inside to create a sparkling effect when exposed to light.

Maciej Habrat Atelier was founded in 1997 in Krosno, Poland. All glass works are designed and hand-made in a fusing technique by him. Maciej graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland-the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. His style is easily recognized in many galleries around the world and some glass objects were exhibited in the Corning Museum of Glass, USA.
TV ARTE has released a documentarty about the family company and every year during the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt Maciej's masterpieces allure with colors and forms.
