Set of Two Unique Glass Sculptures by Maciej Habrat
This distinctive set of two handcrafted glass sculptures by Polish artist Maciej Habrat presents a contemporary interpretation of winged forms through the expressive language of fused glass. With more than twenty years of experience working with this demanding medium, the artist combines technical precision with a refined sculptural sensibility.
Created using the fusing technique, the sculptures are formed from layers of opal and clear glass permanently fused together at high temperatures. Maciej Habrat Atelier was founded in 1997 in Krosno, Poland. All glass works are designed and hand-made in a fusing technique by him. Maciej graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland-the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. His style is easily recognized in many galleries around the world and some glass objects were exhibited in the Corning Museum of Glass, USA.
TV ARTE has released a documentarty about the family company and every year during the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt Maciej's masterpieces allure with colors and forms.
