Founded by Pascal Dartigalongue under the reign of Louis Philippe in 1838, the Maison Dartigalongue is now the oldest producer of Bas Armagnacs. Based in Nogaro, in the heart of Bas Armagnac, where only wines from the area reputed for the refinement of its crus are distilled, the Dartigalongue House adopts the "Charantais" system, approved by decree in 1972 as being of superior quality thanks to the elimination of impurities and the achievement of a purer and more elegant spirit.
