ONCE UPON NOW
fine art print by Inna Etuvgi

We live in several layers of time at once. New technologies sit alongside archaic norms; we carry fairy tales of the past into a world we barely recognise. Our lives are vastly different from those of even our nearest ancestors. Ancient forests, witnesses to the passage of countless generations, now whisper to the steel and circuitry of drones; epochs are blending.

The future is already here, but so is the past — and we stand at the crossroad, both authors and characters of an unfolding story, "Once Upon Now”. To move forward, we need to remember what we are leaving behind. The question is whether we will.

**Once Upon Now collection.

ABOUT THE PRINT:

The print ships on its own, unmatted. If you’d like, I can mount it in a custom passepartout with a backing board, tailored to fit your frame perfectly.

I use pH-neutral archival materials and a reversible mount, so the print can always be removed without damage. This is an optional paid service — just message me for the price and details.

EDITION:

This work is presented in a Special Collector’s Configuration (30 x 37,5 cm image on 33 x 41 cm paper). While the artist’s larger-scale Master Editions are represented in premier online galleries, this specific size is part of a curated series designed to make museum-grade photography accessible for versatile interior spaces.

Produced to the highest archival standards, this configuration is available exclusively through the artist’s studio or via selected auction releases. It is not offered through other galleries or platforms in this specific size.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Inna Etuvgi is a Swedish-Chukchi artist whose work defines the concept of Cybernetic Animism—a bridge between indigenous Arctic intuition and technical precision. Raised in a remote village in Chukotka and trained in technical cybernetics, Etuvgi explores the shared "soul" of natural ecosystems and digital algorithms.

Living with Aphantasia—the inability to visualize mental images—Etuvgi uses her camera and Generative AI as a "visual prosthesis" to externalize deep emotional landscapes. Her macro photography magnifies nature’s smallest details, urging a shift from a human-centered worldview to one of interconnectedness.

Internationally recognized as an Arte Laguna Prize finalist (Venice) and a recipient of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee grant, Etuvgi’s work is held in private collections worldwide. As art critic Tabish Khan notes: “Her work transports us to other worlds—both real and imaginary, but always in harmony with nature.”
