Opis od sprzedawcy
Photobook "In the Shadow of Light" by Adolf Zika. First and only edition from 2010. Hardcover with dust jacket, 137 pages. Size 29 x 23 cm. Large size pictures of beautiful Czech models. Hard to get photo book. The book is in very good used condition. Large sized photos, text is in Czech and English.
"In the Shadow of Light" contains not only black-and-white nudes, but also black-and-white portraits of celebrities and raw views of landscapes where time has stood still. However, artistic nudes predominate in the author's work, forming the key part of the publication.
I have more erotic photobooks listed. I do combine shipping cost.
Adolf Zika was born in 1972 in the town of Prachatice. In 1994, he began with photography and a year later won first place in the most contended category of the Czech Press Photo. In the fall of the year 2000, he was selected among six photographers of the world to represent the renowned brand Leica at Photokina in Cologne and was given the same honor by the Olympus brand four years later. Adolf Zika’s photographs were already sold at the Paris Photo in Louvre and many other countries throughout the world. You may find Adolf Zika’s photographs not only in many calendars that he authored, but also in a retrospective book of black-and-white photographs Luxurious Luminescence.
In 2006 Adolf Zika made a documentary film about Jan Saudek, a world-renowned photographer, with a subtitle "Trapped by his passions, No hope for rescue", which won the Glass Eye Award for the Best Documentary Film at EuroFest in Montreal. In 2008 he filmed a documentary about the most famous automobile race in the world The 24 Hours of Le Mans entitled Le Mans Phenomenon.
